HoHoHo

Merry Christmas everyone!!

It is Christmas Eve and I am home alone. DH is working today; he will be home Christmas day morning. I called my family back home in Germany to wish them all “Happy Holidays”. They are nine hours ahead so I needed to make sure and call early enough. I didn’t know where they were having dinner this year so I finally reached them at my 2nd oldest sister’s home. I had to keep it brief since they were about to start with the main course. Usually a five-course dinner is served for the holidays. My siblings made a tradition out of it and they seem to “compete” with one another. Sometimes I do miss being there. It’s been forever since I spend a Christmas with my family back home. Maybe, just maybe we’ll be able to go and visit next year…..
I got a surprise wake up call this morning from my neighbor. She asked to come over to give me something. I was still (still am) in my PJs, but who cares. So here she is giving me one of her homemade cookies (yum); we are having a cup of coffee and she asked me if I would like to join her family for x-mas eve dinner. I was moved, that was such a nice thing to do. (You may remember the “issues” we had with them a while back, but I am happy to report that we had it out with them a while back and things are pretty good between us).Well, I accepted (after all they are having prime rib, yummy!!).
Now I have to go outside, clean up the front yard and get it all ready so I can set up DH’s x-mas gift in the morning. Or maybe I should wrap it and let him do it himself?? I am not sure!
Well, I mentioned this gift before and since it’s x-mas eve I can tell what it is. It’s one of those blow up decoration. An eight feet long Santa on a Motorcycle and three reindeers in a buggy (cart or whatever you call it). DH used to have a Harley and I think he might get a kick out of this display. I found it at K-mart and I am sure DH has not seen it anywhere else.
Now the question is, should I put it up in the morning so when he comes home the first thing he sees is Santa and the reindeers or should I wrap it and let him put it up himself. It can be good either way; him seeing something I do not care to display in our front yard (other peoples yard sure, just not mine) or unwrapping the present and getting a giddy putting it up himself.
Ok, got to clean up the yard no matter what it should look presentable(the doggies keep dragging around all kinds of stuff from the construction, shredding it and leaving it wherever and whenever they are done “playing” with it
