Saturday 23rd - Thursday 28th

Saturday June 23rd, 2007
I am going to make this a bit easier on me. I will continue writing down what I eat, but I won’t put down the amounts, just the total calories at the end. 11:30am
BF: 3 egg whites/ strawberries/ ¼ c. Yogurt 132 Calories
2:30pm
Lunch: lettuces/ corn/ peppers/ Salsa/Chicken 225 calories

Need to run errands , show probably eat something before I go.

4:30pm: ½ Yoplait Yogurt

Didn’t get many steps in, tried to get in and out of the places and back home.

6:30pm: 1 Yoplait Yogurt

Cooking 2 dinners! DH wanted ravioli and meatballs. Well, since I asked him what he felt like, I will make that for him. I decided no way for me. I may have a few pieces of ravioli, but that’s it. I remember the day when DH and I ate the entire bag (25 oz/ 5 servings) for one dinner, plus French bread.
Those days are very rare now, I think the last time I pigged out on pasta was when I took a “break” and then we had that one time we had a “French bread dinner” (1 loaf & butter, big salad, and red wine) to get my bread fixJ . DH liked that too, since I deprive him of all the bread now as well. Basically no more bread with dinner, especially when we already have a starchy side dish.
We ended up having dinner at 8:20pm and mine was as followed:
Organic Mixed greens/Sautéed Portabella mushrooms with Yellow Bell peppers and onions/5 ravioli/ and Pacific cod seared in a Japanese dressing! (402) Accompanied by 2 glasses of wine (180). Yummy!!
Dinner Total: 582 Calories

10pm: Frozen Yogurt & Strawberries 189

This has been a “slow” day. I just didn’t feel like walkingJ

Sunday June 24th, 2007

12:30 pm 5 pieces Ravioli (135)

Went with DH to Loewes to get more plants and lighting for the trees and walkways. He wanted a smoothie and since I have been low on Calories so far I had ones as well.

2:45pm Jamba Juice Smoothie with a “Fem boost” Mango Mantra 280 Calories, lots of protein, 3-5 serving fruit.

5:15pm 2.5oz chicken/ whole wheat tortilla 140

Got 30 minutes of aerobic steps in/ around/in front/insdie the house non stop boringJ

6:45pm 1oz Fontina Cheese 110

8:15pm Whole Wheat pasta/Ground Turkey/Peppers/ Onions/ Portabella /Broccoli (363)
2 Wine (180)

Got my steps in, not as many as I would have liked to, but I got my daily goal. We did some work outside and lots of it was standing around in one place, like watering all the new plants. I am not expecting much of a weight loss if any for Monday. Looks like the Ol’ Hag is about to arrive. Well, it’s not like she can really take anything away from me, it just appears to be that way. So I’ll just let her have it her way and I get to have it my way for the rest of the month.J

Monday June 25th, 2007

8 out of 10 times the scale showed 184 (185 the first two times, I almost didn't step on it the 3rd time, but when I saw 184 I knew there was hope:)

I think I will claim 184 lbs LOL
1 lbs lost this week!!

2 hours of yard work later/ watering/ laying weed clothe & cedar chips in the planters. Much more to do!

1:30pm back inside from yard work. Time to eat, I am starving

Now that was easyJ Thank goodness I had this all ready to go. Otherwise I may have chosen something not so good.

We just finished up with the landscaping, for the day. I was out there for about 5 hours total. And we are still not done, but we are getting close, at least with the front part of the house and the driveway area. It’s all going to be worth the hard work

Well, I am in no mood to cook and DH would never ask me to after a day of helping him with the outside projects. So, what’s for dinner??????
6:30 pm: Pizza & lots of water to flush out some of the salt (1163) nothing else for me today!!

Well, I had a choice and I chose not to cook, but having pizza about once a week is nothing unusual, so I just have to work it in somewhere. I already told DH he must take the leftovers with him to work tomorrow. I do not want it in the house. It’s going to be back to having lots of “rabbit food” at least for the next couple of days while he is working.


11pm: I am surprisingly mellow about wanting food. Now I need to get tired so I can go to bed before “something” happensJ.

Oh wait, let’s do crunches!! Haven’t done any and I certainly could use some!!

I had to take a peek and see if I am still 184 lbs lightJ. It’s sticking, I am still 184lbs!!


11:25am 3 egg white/ strawberries

I feel like the energizer bunny, for some reason I can’t stop. Everything I do I step to. Kinda funny, I only started it because I had a very boring standing task ahead of me and since my back always bugs me after standing too long I figured why not “move” around a bit.

I have been bouncing all over the place. Back and forth from one end to the other, then back to where I started . No matter what I did I kept getting interrupted, but for some reason I kept stepping, even when talking to some delivery guys I kept on stepping. Wonder what they must have thought. She must have a nervous condition or something LOL.

For some other reason I don’t seem to get hungry, so I have to make myself at least nibble on something.


2:35pm 4 plums for the garden, yummy

3:10pm I need some carbs, ½ tortilla, chicken and strawberries will do, quick and easy. Not hungry, nor am I in the mood to cook anything.
Finally heading out to run some errands, need to pick up more cedar for the planters.
I better grab something to eat.

5:30pm banana

While driving around I keep wondering why I am not hungry today. Well, will make a good dinner, no matter what.
While at the grocery store it suddenly hits me, I am starving!! The worse place to be hungry at. What am I going to eat? I can’t just get some fruit or veggies, everything has to be weight first. I am looking at pretzels and stuff. I am so not willing to blow 140 calories/serving on so little to eat and then run the risk of triggering a food attack. No way!! I am getting a big bottle of water!! This should help until I find something suitable. And I do, those little packages of grape tomatoes were on sale 2/$5 (not really a bargain) so I got one and started popping one after another all 10 ounces.

6:30pm: 10 oz grape tomatoes!! They did the trick and tied me over until dinner! Which wasn’t until late.

8:45pm 1 oz whole wheat pasta /roasted peppers, onions, mushrooms/ 5 cups fresh steamed organic spinach/ 5.4 oz cod fillet glazed with a Japanese dressing mmmmhhhh!!!/ 3 glasses of wine

11pm: Dessert, a little late!

Wednesday June 27th, 2007

I am doing it again!! Skipping meals! I am not hungry. It’s already 1:30pm and have yet to eat. What is wrong with me I know better than to do this!! I’ll have a banana to start with. Will have to go from there!

I know what it is! I have been on the computer editing photographs for our Home Improvement Website. When I do this time just flies and I forget about everything. The thing is I have been so behind with updates and friends and family keep asking where we are at and what we are doing currently. I would like to get it out of the way and get up to current events again.

I don’t think I will be walking much today. I feel yesterday’s effort hurting my hip muscles. I had planned on doing some yard work and I wanted to start laying the bricks in the inner circle of the driveway, but now it’s too warm. Maybe when it cools off. Heck, I don’t really want to do much of anything, but get the websites updated, but man my back is killing me also. There just is no winning, is there?!!

3:15pm I had a big bowl of fruit with yogurt

I have been all day working on the website. BUT I did get up around

4:30pm (or was it 5:30??J) to water all the new plants. I took advantage of it and started stepping while I was at it. Why stand still if ya can move a little moreJ. Amazing, it took me 45 minutes to get them all soaked very well. We have a drip system, but they need some extra for at least the first couple of weeks.

I had about the same as last night for dinner; cooked double last night, so all I needed to do was reheat it with ground turkey instead of the fish.

Back to work on the websites, almost done.

The doggies “begged” me to play. And since I was such a hermit all day we went out for our little walk in front of the house and played ball for a while. Must have been long enough for the aerobic steps to kick in. I didn’t really bust my butt though. It was nice to get out, but no hard walking.

LOL, this is so funny!! So, after coming back inside I had to take a shower, the dogs just slobbered all over me. I was filthy! Anyways, so while I am in the shower I actually find myself stepping!!! Can you believe?? I was laughing so hard once I noticed what I was doing, the dogs came running in to see what’s going on.


Working some more on getting at least all the pictures up on the site, still have to work on the wording and such. Watching some shows, looking at the clock, it’s
h10:45pm and I still need to update my food journal for today. I know I have been low, so I’ll have a peach while I am adding things up.

Darn still way under 1000, only 759 calories. Normally I would be thrilled, but I know it’s bad to be under. I look up my nutrients for the day and I was right, way too much missing!! I am ½ of most vitamins short, need more than 700mg of calcium, etc.
So here it goes…

I know late to eat, but not unusual for me. At least this brought most of my nutrients up!!

Thursday June 28th, 2007


11am: egg whites/ strawberries

Noon: Watering for about 45 minus, of course I keep stepping instead of just standing there.. How fun, the humming birds just sit there only a couple feet out of reach and they just watched me do my thing, watching themJ

More landscape covering needs to be done (my job). DH is dealing with the bricks today (had more delivered on Monday, now we can finish this projects)
Being out there in the sun is more tasking than one would think, but getting dizzy every once in a while when getting up is an indicator that I need to watch it.

1:30pm Lunch: Pasta, Ground Turkey, Spinach (300)

Went out again and finished all the bags of cedar chips while DH was snoozingJ. He came off a 48hour shift and I guess he is more tired than he wanted to let on.

4pm: Big fruit salad with Yogurt (186)

After that I decided to run some errands instead of being out there in the heat. We needed more ground cover, so off I went out of the sun and to the home improvement store.

Back by 5:30pm and DH is already out there again laying more bricks. Well, the landscaping doesn’t get done by itself eitherJ. I moved a whole bunch of large river rocks into another location, again! I have moved these rocks so many times from one end to the other in this yard. I hope this was the last time!!


We were working til 8:30pm outside so dinner ended up being a toss between something out of a bag (chips sounded so good!), or something healthy. I was in no mood for cooking, all I wanted to do was take a shower and sit down, not even hungry, but I knew it would get me if I don’t eat something. I decided to make it quick and easy. DH wanted a Turkey Potpie (me too!!), that took 9 ½ minutes. I figured I can get myself something whipped during that same time. I went ahead and defrosted a piece of fish under running water and by the time I had the salad all chopped up it was thawed out and ready to be sautéed. That’s the beauty of having seafood handy in the freezer, always ready in minutes!!

9:15pm very late dinner!! Organic greens, with all the fixings, a little pasta and a piece of Orange Roughy.
