Hall of Fame!!
This is going to be a looonggg one, grab a seat and a snack ....:)
I did it!! Made it into the "Hall of Fame". Here is a run down of the day! Bummer my camera doesn't download, but I have taken a picture and will post it once I got whatever it is fixed!
10:38 am I decided to go for it and try to walk as much as I can today! Late start though, no chance of making 100ks. But I will try to get in the "Hall of Fame", if possible. 60ks is my goal for today! I'll try and keep track throughout the day and journal through the ups & downs of the day. Posting everything later!!
12:38 pm: Looks like I have about a 7k average so far per hour. So far so good, still walking around. Switching back and forth between the computer doing chores around the house and chasing around the dining room table :). Oh, yes and walking the dogs. They sure love that!! 1:38pm: still keeping up with my average. Taking a few small breaks while STRETCHING my legs.
2:38pm: My legs and my back are getting a bit sore. Not sure how long I will be able to keep this up. I will write down my steps and take a shower/recharge at my 5 hour marker. Have been eating mostly bananas and other fruit. Going to make myself a big salad with some roasted leftover turkey breast. (that might put me to sleep, but won't keep me from walking haha!
3:32pm: Not quiet check in time yet. :). So, I had my salad already, nothing fancy, just threw a few cups of organic greens into a large bowl, cut up some white turkey and get this, I had all those leftovers from the turkey dinner looking at me, I threw a little of the stuffing , cold as it was, onto the bowl. But the real kicker was, I never sat down to eat. Instead of sitting at the table I walked around it while eating. My legs don't want to stop right now. So freaking Cookoo, that's for sure. The length we go through to reach our crazy goals sometimes
3:38pm : 37837 steps / 35421 A.steps. Keeping up my average! :)Ok, shower or not to shower, that's the question. I am not planning to go out or be around anyone but my doggies. And they don't care. DH is working today and tomorrow, so he will be save :). That's the only way I can do this today. If he was around there would be no way I'd be blowing away my day with "walking". So, the only thing I need to do is take care of the doggies, they get to walk extra long, also chasing me around the house is some extra added fun for them. Time to stretch those legs!!
4:38pm: 44356/ 41601 A.steps: I am slowing down a little, it sure seems so at least. Not sure why I am continuing on with this. I have nothing to prove, maybe only that I am nuts!! I think I may be heading towards the end of it! All I know is if I sit down now I will never get up again :)
6pm: 52896 steps if I want to make it in the Hall of Fame I have to at least walk for another hour. Probably more, I am getting tired for sure.. Took me about 7 hours to reach 50ks. So to make it to 100k it would be at least 14 hours total for me, unless I come up with a faster strategy :) Once I am in the 60s I will quit for the day. Not much of a point to keep going because the next big mile stone would be 100ks, which I am not able to reach today, unless I pick up the pace and walk non stop from now on. The thing is I would have only 5 hours instead of six, because I never set my pedometer back to winter hours. So, even if I'd continue walking I'd never get to see the 99999 on my pedometer. And I surely want to take a picture of that. This being said, anything in the 60s will be satisfying me. I'll just have to go for 100k tomorrow LOL :)
6: 38pm:56488/ 50544 A. steps Here is another crazy thing I did. If nothing else this will put me into "The Most Whacked Out Walkers' Hall of Fame " LOL:). I decided to take the shower (no, that's not the crazy part, it actually felt wonderful having hot water run down my back), but I didn't want to stop stepping, so I wrapped my pedometer in some Ziploc bags and clipped it on an old fabric belt, which I tied around my waist. How much crazier can it get??? Not much longer and I can sit down! I need to find something to do to pass time!! It's not really busy on the boards. Always helps to hang out around there to make time go by faster. Where is everybody???
8:20pm: 67000 steps I am sooo tempted to go for 100k, but there is no way I can beat the pedometer is switching over an hour early. Now, I could bite myself for not resetting it!! I know I could do it in 3hours and 40 minutes., but never in 2 hours/40minutes. I'll finish at 8:38pm!!
8:43pm: I am calling it a day. I have been up and around for over 10 hours, didn't sit down and I can feel it. How do people do it with jobs that require them to be on their feet all day long???
I just noticed A. steps don't go above 32,767 on the WT board. Wonder why? Total Steps: 75426

Calories burned: 3446
and now I lay me down to sleep lol, not quiet yet. The Biggest Loser is on, I'll watch that first!!
